Thorsten Breuer
CEO & Founder
Graduated in Biology from the University of Cologne; currently pursuing a PhD in Medical Informatics at Halle University Hospital. I have 30 years of experience in information technology, including 19 years in cyber security and 12 years in AI and machine learning. Vaillant Group: The role of International Quality Information Security Manager (IQ-ISM) is currently fulfilled, with the individual acting as Group CISO. From 2004 to 2015, I served as Head of Division and Cyber Risk Manager at Relyens. During this time, I held five different roles at Cologne University Hospital, with responsibilities ranging from research IT to cyber security and data protection. As project manager, I established six SOC and CSIRT structures. I have also lectured at FOM, the Federal University of Applied Sciences and the SAE Institute.
David Oliveira
CRO - Co-founder
David leads SCD's commercial strategy, including go-to-market, partnerships, and revenue growth across civilian and allied-nation markets. He brings 15+ years of experience taking security technology to market in regulated, high-trust sectors, building commercial operations, enterprise accounts, and partner networks from the ground up across Europe and Latin America at cybersecurity and cyber risk companies. His experience with long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving CISO- and CIO-level buyers in finance, telecom, and the public sector maps directly onto critical infrastructure and government procurement. He works in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
Leonie M.
COO
Leonie leads SCD's operations, [programme delivery, security engineering, and customer-facing execution]. She studied computer engineering and communications technology with a focus on cybersecurity at the Universität der Bundeswehr, and has seven years of hands-on experience in government and defence-related cyber work. She spent three years in German federal service in technical reconnaissance and intelligence processing, followed by four years in the cyber and defence sector, covering data centre construction, IT security strategy, OT security, advising security authorities, and threat management. This mix of technical depth and experience working with government and security-sensitive customers equips him to run programmes where reliability, discretion, and compliance are requirements.
Christopher L.
Head of Engineering
Christopher leads SCD's engineering and technical development. He built SPECTRA Core, the TRL-4 capability demonstrator of SCD's cyber-electronic warfare platform. His expertise covers radio engineering, systems architecture, and DevSecOps, combining RF and software development with security built into the engineering process. He holds a B.Sc. in Cyber Security from FOM, where his 2026 thesis addressed ground-station software architecture for multimodal target communication.
